What does Nexscope’s Amazon Review Analyzer do?

Nexscope’s Amazon Review Analyzer helps ecommerce sellers examine a recent sample of a competitor’s 1–2 star reviews. Enter one ASIN and a marketplace, choose review counts, and generate an AI report in your selected language. Download the report as Markdown and the source reviews as CSV to support product research.

How to analyze Amazon negative reviews for product improvements

Analyze Amazon negative reviews by collecting a bounded 1–2 star sample, reading the source comments, grouping repeated complaints, and converting supported themes into measurable product or listing tests. Keep the original review evidence beside every conclusion.

  1. Choose a comparable Amazon product. Enter a competitor ASIN and select the marketplace, low-star review counts, and report language.
  2. Collect and inspect negative reviews. Request a recent sample of 1–2 star reviews, remove duplicates, and read the returned comments before drawing conclusions.
  3. Find recurring complaints. Use the AI report to group repeated issues involving materials, fit, packaging, capacity, or product expectations.
  4. Turn evidence into a product test. Convert a recurring complaint into a measurable product, packaging, or listing change, then validate it with your own data.

What did a completed Amazon review analysis reveal?

In a Nexscope run completed on September 15, 2026, a request for 10 one-star and 10 two-star reviews returned 10 source reviews: nine one-star and one two-star. Four comments mentioned size or carrying capacity. That evidence supports testing usable dimensions and capacity claims; it does not establish a market-wide defect rate or prove that a product change will improve sales.

What can a low-star review sample tell you?

A low-star sample can reveal problems worth investigating. It cannot establish the product’s overall defect rate, average customer satisfaction, total review count, or authenticity. An allegation in a review remains a customer’s claim. If only one review is returned, the report represents that one-review sample, not all buyers.

Amazon review analysis FAQ

Answers about review coverage, account access, credits, and AI insights.

How do I analyze Amazon negative reviews?

Start with a comparable product ASIN, collect a bounded sample of recent 1–2 star reviews, inspect the original comments, group recurring complaints, and convert each supported theme into a product or listing test. The sample reveals issues to investigate; it does not measure every buyer or the product’s overall defect rate.

Does this retrieve every review?

No. This tool requests a recent sample with up to 100 reviews per selected star rating. Availability and freshness depend on the data provider. Sample theme counts are not defect rates or a measure of all customers.

Do I need an API key?

No API key entry is needed here. Sign in with your Nexscope account and run the analysis using your existing website session.

What happens if I run out of credits?

You will see a prompt to review your plan or add Data credits. If collection succeeded, reviews stay available on this page so you can retry just the analysis. Refreshing or leaving the page clears results; download your reviews before navigating away.

Can I trust every AI recommendation?

Check the original review evidence and validate recommendations against your own product. AI-generated conclusions can be incomplete or incorrect; do not use them as proof of product performance.
