What does Nexscope SEO Keyword Planner do?
Nexscope SEO Keyword Planner combines Google keyword research with Amazon competitor analysis. Enter an English product or category, compare search-volume estimates and keyword difficulty, then use a selected keyword to find up to 10 Amazon US products. Generate and download an AI report based on the collected product sample.
How to research Amazon competitors from a keyword
STEP 1
Research Google keywords
Expand your product keyword into up to 10 candidates, including the original phrase. Compare available Google search-volume estimates and difficulty, then select a term relevant to your product.
STEP 2
Find Amazon competitor products
Look up up to 10 matching Amazon US products. Compare available prices, estimated monthly sales, ratings, review counts and BSR. Open the product links to verify which listings are relevant competitors.
STEP 3
Generate a competitor report
Run AI analysis separately on the collected product sample. The Markdown report summarizes business findings, comparisons, missing data, risks and next actions. Download it before leaving the page.
Understand the data behind your report
Use each source for the question it can answer. Google keyword metrics and Amazon product metrics remain separate throughout this workflow.
| Research step | Available evidence | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Google keywords | Related terms, search-volume estimates and difficulty | US English Google search metrics; not Amazon search volume or predicted sales. |
| Amazon products | Up to 10 matching product listings, prices, estimated sales, ratings, review counts and BSR | Amazon US product sample; sales are provider estimates and missing metrics remain unknown. |
| AI report | A summary, comparisons, risks and next actions based on the collected products | AI interpretation to verify against source listings; review text and full listing content were not retrieved. |
Keyword research and competitor analysis FAQ
Can I find Amazon competitors from a keyword?
Yes. After keyword research, select a keyword and choose Find Amazon competitors. Nexscope returns up to 10 matching Amazon US products with available product metrics and source links. Keyword matching does not prove every product is a direct competitor; review the listings for relevance.
Is Google search volume the same as Amazon search volume?
No. Step 1 uses US English Google keyword metrics; step 2 uses Amazon US product data. Google search volume is not Amazon search volume, Amazon demand or a sales forecast. Treat these as separate research inputs.
What does AI competitor analysis summarize?
The report interprets available prices, estimated monthly sales and revenue, ratings, review counts and BSR from the returned product sample. It summarizes comparisons, risks, missing values and practical next actions. It does not measure the whole market or explain sales causes without supporting evidence.
Does this include review analysis or a website SEO audit?
This workflow does not retrieve review text or audit your website. Ratings and review counts provide product metrics, not explanations of customer complaints. For low-star review analysis, use the Amazon Review Analyzer with a competitor ASIN.
What should I enter, and which market is supported?
Enter an English product or category using 1–10 words and at most 80 characters. This workflow researches US English Google keywords and Amazon US products. A specific product phrase works better than a broad topic for finding relevant products.
Do I need an account, and when are requests sent?
A Nexscope account and sufficient credits are required to run the workflow. Keyword research, competitor lookup and AI analysis may each use credits. Competitor lookup and report generation start only when you select their buttons; no paid request runs when the page opens.
How can I save the results and continue researching?
Download the Google keyword table as CSV and the completed AI competitor report as Markdown. Results last only for the current page session, so save them before refreshing or leaving. Next, verify promising competitor listings and investigate their customer feedback before making product decisions.
Why is a metric marked Unavailable?
No usable value was returned for that metric. Missing values remain unavailable rather than becoming zero. Sales figures are provider estimates, and the returned products are a bounded sample rather than complete market coverage.
Review the data contracts for the Google keyword expansion API, Google keyword metrics API and Amazon Competitor Lookup API. To investigate customer complaints after choosing a competitor ASIN, continue with the Amazon Review Analyzer.
